This was the day I was waiting for ------
A day when happiness would find me
again
When the gleam in my eyes would return
and then
The joy in my heart would come back
to replace
The sorrow my heart had once
embraced
When the colors would brighten
before my eyes
When rain would sparkle like stars
in the sky
When roses would bloom
like never before
When I could speak of forever
once more
This was the day I was waiting for.
