There is a place that I can go
When troubles seem to burden me
A place full of faith and hope
Where the outside world means nothing
With only people I’ve chosen to be there
And only sites I want to see
A place where dreaming is believing
Where fantasy is reality
Sometimes I go to a distant waterfall
With crystal clear waters rolling softly
Where brightly colored flowers grow many and tall
And the standard time is Eternity
Then there are times when I walk through a forest
With a soft rain falling through warm air
I climb a tree to stop and rest
And chat with the birds while I’m there
At times I’m at the beach in my love’s embrace
Walking along the sandy shore
With a warm coastal breeze blowing against my face
And forever wanting nothing more
Many times it’s the future that I escape into
Because I know how happy I’ll be
When I’ll have a place of my own to come home to
With my love and our children there with me
Once I sat in the grass of the Emerald Isle
While the Irish sunset filled my soul
A dream that I’ve dreamed for such a long while
And one day will be a memory to be told
These places I’ll keep forever in my heart
To use against the harshness of reality
And when my world seems to fall apart
I’ll escape into my fantasy
